Our Story & Mission

Building confident financial negotiators through practical experience and real-world expertise since 2019

How We Started

Back in 2019, I was sitting in yet another corporate training session about "win-win negotiations" – you know the type. Lots of theory, role-playing with colleagues, but nothing that prepared anyone for real financial discussions.

The breaking point came when I watched a talented colleague completely freeze during a salary negotiation. She'd aced every practice scenario, but facing actual financial stakes? Different story entirely.

That's when qetalnilunaa was born. We focus on the psychological and practical aspects of financial conversations – because knowing theory and executing under pressure are entirely different skills.

What Drives Us Forward

Financial negotiations happen daily – from salary discussions to business deals. Yet most people wing it, hoping confidence will magically appear when money's on the table.

Real Pressure Training

We simulate actual financial stress, not comfortable classroom scenarios. Students practice with stakes that matter to them personally.

Psychology-First Approach

Understanding your emotional responses during financial discussions is more valuable than memorizing negotiation tactics.

Meet Our Lead Strategist

Real expertise comes from years of making mistakes, learning from them, and developing systems that actually work under pressure.

Crispin Hartwell, Lead Financial Negotiation Strategist

Crispin Hartwell

Lead Financial Negotiation Strategist

Started his career making every possible negotiation mistake – from accepting the first offer out of politeness to completely bombing salary discussions due to anxiety.

After 12 years in corporate finance and countless awkward money conversations, Crispin developed the practical frameworks we teach today. His approach focuses on managing the psychological aspects of financial negotiations rather than memorizing scripts.

When he's not teaching, you'll find him testing new negotiation scenarios with local business owners or refining our training methods based on student feedback.

Our Teaching Philosophy

Most negotiation training focuses on tactics and scripts. We focus on building genuine confidence through controlled exposure to financial pressure.

01

Pressure Inoculation

We gradually increase the emotional stakes of practice scenarios, helping students build tolerance for financial stress.

  • Personal stake simulations
  • Emotional response tracking
  • Recovery technique practice
02

Behavioral Pattern Recognition

Students learn to identify their own negotiation patterns and triggers before they become problems.

  • Personal negotiation style assessment
  • Trigger point identification
  • Alternative response development
03

Real-World Application

Theory only matters if you can execute it when actual money is involved. Our scenarios mirror real financial conversations.

  • Industry-specific scenarios
  • Actual case study analysis
  • Post-negotiation reflection
04

Continuous Skill Refinement

Financial negotiation is like any skill – it degrades without practice. We provide ongoing development opportunities.

  • Monthly practice sessions
  • Peer feedback groups
  • Advanced scenario challenges
